RYENE SANDERS | RESOURCE SPECIALIST
Art has always been a central part of Ryene’s life and career. Her first internship with Artpace in San Antonio, Texas opened her eyes to the importance of providing arts education and access to everyone, especially underserved communities. Upon completing her Bachelors at the University of North Texas, she moved to Austin, Texas where she obtained her Masters in Art Education from the University of Texas. During her time in Austin, she had the opportunity to work for numerous arts organizations where her passion and dedication for arts education flourished. Her time as the Education Coordinator at Women & Their Work greatly impacted her and solidified her love and appreciation for nonprofits. She believes in the transformative power of arts experiences and of giving any individual the ability and the space to explore creatively. In 2024, Ryene relocated to Atlanta for personal and professional growth.
With her background in nonprofits and arts education, Ryene is excited to join South Fulton Institute in its mission to support and provide arts programming in South Fulton County. She is thrilled to become a part of a team that shares her belief of facilitating accessible and impactful programs for everyone. Ryene currently resides in Grant Park and in her free time can be found baking, reading or exploring her new city.
