This summer we have seen some amazing things happening in South Fulton so far. From the city of East Point’s Drag Down South, to the electrifying evening of Black alternative music with NBAF's Soul Rebel Rock. We are so proud to be partners with entities that recognize the importance of celebrating humanity.
By promoting humanity in our work, we hope foster empathy and understanding among supporters like you. Each performance, exhibition, or workshop is an opportunity to share stories that resonate on a deeply personal level, encouraging audiences to see the world through different perspectives. That is what art is all about! The beauty of connecting to and with each other. We seek to share the gift the arts brings us all: The ability see beyond race, color, gender or class and learn to value the human being first and foremost.
In the interest of holding true to this pillar of our organization, we look forward to our next upcoming Fall programming including The Cake by Bekah Brunstetter September 13-21. The Cake takes a look at what human connection means in the face of our differences. Brunstetter examines faith, family and tradition in this poignant and timely show. The Cake asks us to consider what it takes to choose love and accept those who lead different lives than our own.
To celebrate humanity is to celebrate all. We can't wait to see you there!
