About Miles Freed

Miles Isaiah Freed is a filmmaker who brings a unique blend of perspectives, shaped by a childhood split between Mississippi and Alaska. A graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, where he honed his craft, Miles has developed a passion for documentary filmmaking, often focusing on the complexities of human character and expression.

As a creative director, Miles led the powerful project Would You Kill God Too, commissioned by Ava DuVernay’s prestigious LEAP program. He has also served as Director of Photography (DP) and editor on a variety of short films and documentaries, demonstrating his versatility and keen eye for visual storytelling.

In his work, Miles gravitates toward stories that allow for deep, intimate exploration of character, capturing the essence of the human experience in its rawest form. With a commitment to authenticity, tenderness, and emotional depth, his films invite audiences to engage with the subjects on a profound level.
